Reporting to the Director of Business Development, the Precision Agronomy Lead will be responsible for leading the Crop360 VR program, a pioneering initiative in precision agronomy. You will be responsible for implementing and promoting Crop360 VR within the trade area, managing mapped areas, prescription writing, and facilitating on-ground mapping and soil sampling. You will also work with SWAT Maps technology to optimize nutrient placement in fields. The ideal candidate should have a passion for precision agronomy, a strong grasp of logistics and technology, and the ability to communicate effectively with both staff and customers. This role emphasizes building the business through referrals and collaborating with the current sales team to introduce and promote this innovative technology to existing customers.



Crop360 VR Program

  • Serve as a leader in promotion of Crop360 VR.
  • Prospect new Crop360 VR customers.
  • Write prescriptions for Crop360 VR customers.

Precision Agronomy Leader

  • Lead implementation of Crop360 VR program.
  • Work the BDM to develop Crop360 VR strategies.
  • Manage mapping, sampling and prescription writing.
  • Work with Crop360 agronomists on Crop360 VR strategies.

Crop360 Staff and Retail Training

  • Educate new and current staff on knowledge needed to promote Crop360 VR.
  • Organize and execute training for agronomists during off season.

Data Management

  • Manage customer billing.
  • Track expenses and profitability of Crop360 VR.



  • Drive significant acre growth by expanding the adoption of Crop360 VR technology across the trade area, targeting a substantial increase in the number of acres managed under precision agronomy practices.
  • Ensure high levels of acre retention by maintaining strong relationships with existing customers and consistently demonstrating the value of Crop360 VR technology in optimizing their agronomic practices.
  • Focus on earning the trust of the current sales team through the development of robust, collaborative relationships.


Given the pivotal role this individual will be expected to play in achieving the strategic objectives of the company and in supporting the success of the organization, it is essential that the successful candidate possess the following core competencies, experience, and attributes:


  • A degree in Agriculture or a related field is an asset.



  • 3-5 years experience needed in the agriculture industry; specifically, in horticulture and/or field crops.
  • VR variable rate experience is needed.
  • Agriculture Tech background is considered an asset.
  • Certified Crop Advisor Designation considered an asset and encouraged for professional development.
  • Driver’s license required.
  • Travel frequency 20%
